VLADIVOSTOK, Dec 16 (PRIME) -- Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) plans to participate in construction of a wind park in Russia’s republic of Yakutia, the republic’s government said in a statement on Friday.
“We are talking now is about construction of a 1 megawatt wind park in the Tiksi village of the Bulunsky District. A corresponding memorandum between RAO ES of East, Yakutia and Japanese company Komaihaltec – NEDO’s partner – was signed during the first Far East economic forum in Vladivostok,” it said.
“The first stage of the project encompasses construction of three wind power units in 2017–2018. NEDO’s role in implementation of the project is technological support.”
In September 2015, NEDO participated in the launch of Kamaihaltec’s wind power facility with a capacity of 900 kilowatts on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
